From Malaga airport, it is only a 20 minute journey, we hired a car, and this proved to be a good move.
As we parked up on the street, we were greeted by Rene, the owners son in law, who was a very nice man, and he left contact details for our stay.
Rene directed us to the secure parking which was fabulous, with remote controlled gated entry, then your own large parking space, very near the lift.
The apartment itself was as though the owner had vacated the day before with many belongings and ornaments left out, some of which we sided away because we had small children with us.
The apartment was superbly equipped, and even had drinking water on tap, there is also a supermarket attached to the apartment block, so food shopping was easy.
There are shops, cafes and bars within easy walking distance of you, but Benalmadena is a big sprawling place and transport is recommended to see all the town has to offer, but here is the double edged sword, parking at the popular places is almost impossible.
For our beach excursions, we mainly traveled by car to Torremolinos just 10 minutes away by car, where beachfront parking was easy, and either free by the roadside, or 1 Euro on a vacant land site.
There is a deposit, and cleaning charge, so be aware.

Aircon, 1 unit is positioned at the far end of the TV dining room area, this is inadequate to cool the bedrooms, so expect hot nights
