-studio apts...dirty. threadbare, ripped upholstery...vewed 4 units before finding one with working air con..1st unit no air con, unable to flush toilet, unable to use broken soap dispenser
-the unit that we finally accepted because it had working air con, later discovered that the toilet was not sealed...could actually lift it off the floor, had a terrible odour, had a broken lock on the patio door ( eventually both were fixed upon request)...they do not seem to maintain these rooms
-we were unable to obtain an upgrade ( which seem to be in better shape than the studios ) as none avilable untill close to our departure date
-always something missing from the "equiped kitchen "...staff take things from other units when asked for something ie; kettle so never fully equiped...they seem to be just moving things around when something is requested
-had dinner 1x in their dining room...poor quality, poor choice, cold...staff do not seem to be trained well...our dishes kept piling up on the table ( it's a buffet ) and never removed
-could not use a credit card in the dining room, could not put the meal on the hotel account..told to pay in cash...when we questioned this, the server finally told us we could use a credit card at reception and accompanied us there...machine not working...took a while before they could get it working...told they had only one crdit card machine in the whole hotel
-pool area...loungers ripped, wobbly

Hotel is very in good location, with short walk to the nice beach and supermarket and shops. Rooms quite spacious with hob, basic cutlery and microwave. Nice bathroom. The mattress was really hard , so did not sleep well, plus our room was over the reception on 5th floor, so we could hear all delivery vehicles and waste bins collections from early hours.
We went for Half board for 3 nights, and for the short break it was ok,but food was just edible, Breakfast were ok with toast, ham and cheese, baked beans, etc, but dinners were usually poor quality, and drinks are paid for during dinner, with free soft drinks, tea and coffee during breakfast.
Staff in general fine, with friendly people at the reception, and some grumpy old waiter :).
Swimming pool ok, with few broken loungers, with bar with reasonable prices (2.3 euro for a pint.
We have no water in the whole hotel for couple of hours.
We only have paid 86£ for 3 nights half board for family of 4 so it was great deal, but for full prices I wouldn`t come back.

Room Tip: Good supermarket - DIA around 15 meters away from the hotel

Don't normally moan about a hotel always grateful to be somewhere different but this hotel I can only describe as the Spanish Faulty Towers. My room was basic and mostly clean. Bleach was left in the bath which was nice also towels might get changed depends how they feel on the day. We asked for 2 extra pillows and got 1and again some days the room wasn't cleaned until we had returned from a night out. Now i turn to the food. Well breakfast was an experience it seems it was physically impossible to have bread/rolls and any hot food together. When i asked for either to be replenished you just got it's coming and then the staff walked off. Only one toast machine and a constant wait for cups - obviously breakfast comes as a shock to them every morning as this was repeated on a daily basis. No need to mention dinner as this was just the same. No Good morning or evening as you sat down and three times we had finished dinner before we were even asked if we wanted a drink. I found the restaurant staff rude and unapproachable and to be fair so did most of the people I spoke to.

My mum can not use the stairs very well and i was totally blown away when the cleaning staff pushed in front of her to take the lift. No consideration and they saw there was a queue of people waiting to get to the restaurant.

We had a room by the pool and for 5 days two glasses of half empty drinks were left. No attention to detail at all and on our last night we were approached by the waiting staff ( first time they actually spoke to us ) to say we had not paid for our meal (We are half board) I explained we had checked out and that we are leaving and that we arrived late on our first day. The rude waiter would not listen he got louder causing a scene, then after the manager came realised their mistake and gave an insincere apology. We left and waited for our transfer back. Not great at all. Shame really only ended up at this hotel due to Monarch going into administration, we should have been at the Sorocco.

This hotel was a 4* in the 70's. When we arrived at 11.00 a.m. we were allocated our room at 15.30 pm that was a good start. Travel agent said we would have a room with a balcony but couldn't guarantee a sea view, fair enough. Our room No. 716 had a small walled off shoot with a generator and stone bench which we could stand on to see the sea, this was our balcony. Twice in the week our room was missed for cleaning. One day we left the room having two hand towels, two clean bath towels and a bath mat. We came back and had only one bath towel, reception said they were waiting on them coming in. They did at 9.00 at night. Two mornings there was no margarine or butter I asked the waitress she said there's none. I bought butter to last the week. Two mornings only we had melon. Salt cellars were kept on the buffet bar and if you weren't quick you had to go to other tables and ask to borrow theirs. Meals were usually cooked too long some in fact burnt. Some of the sunbeds were ready for collapse.
Not a great choice of hot meals but plenty of salad therefore you don't starve. Most of the time the meals were cold and had to be heated in the microwave which isn't a problem. Definitely wouldn't go back there. It is very badly managed.

Room Tip: Quite a distance from the Marina but bus service outside is excellent.
