A somewhat quaint hotel, the rooms are very spacious if a little old fashioned, and the staff are multi lingual. The breakfast provided with our tariff was excellent and abundant. Parking is on site, but is tight, with barely enough parking spaces.

Having stayed here on our road trip back in 2014, I took my family this time and stayed there for 3 nights in August. Is was wonderful. We had good weather which added to our fantastic experience .
Range of items at breakfast including eggs (as omelette, scrambled etc) on request. Bread was really tasty and the locally made jams were delicious too.
Rooms were clean with good beds although the pillows were really squishy.
I would be coming back to this hotel very soon.

Just returned after a great week in this lovely hotel.
Rooms were 1st class, roomy and spotless, bathroom (shower room) was perfect.
Breakfast were self service with a great range of juices, meats, cereals etc
Staff were very attentive and polite.
Hotel is in a lovely village and the Konus card was a real bonus allowing us to use the local public transport(trains and buses) for free.
A wonderful place to visit and stay

3 night half-board stay at €146 pn + €4 tourist tax for 2 persons.
Hotel is on the main road through the village and has been much extended (I assume) over the years. It is set on the edge of the Black Forest and approximately 5 miles from Freiburg centre - parking difficult even with a blue badge.
Hotel provided a local tourist card which actually gave free bus and rail travel to Frieburg - bus to Denzlingen then train into the centre. City centre has been much modernised since our last visit 30 years ago and is now much like any big city.
Hotel's own site shows old photos whereas Booking.com has pictures of some of the modernised rooms.
We had an older room layout due to our request for a soft bed (large bed with mattress topper) on the second-floor overlooking the stream at the back of the hotel.
The hotel has modern seating in the main reception area and an indoor pool/sauna but the bar area is small at the rear of the hotel opening onto a large outside patio overlooking the stream - this would have been a nice area to sit in if it hadn't been raining so hard!!!!
Breakfast was fine - eggs cooked to order or boiled available in hot cups - but not quite as extensive as some German locations.
Evening meal was a set 4 courses but could be altered or amended to suit your taste and was of an acceptable quality - really pleasant waitresses/waiters.

Room Tip: Ask for a new style room if you like a firm bed and at the back of the hotel is a light sleeper

Stood 1 night at the hotel with a large group of colleagues. The rooms were varied, some more modern, some traditional you could choose whichever you prefer. Surroundings were quiet and relaxing, nice view to the mountains from the front. The bathroom was big and very nice. Had dinner and breakfast both were excellent. The sauna was nice and cozy, swimming pool could be longer tho.
