I have never experienced such unfriendliness. The staff at the reception never had helpful information and were also giving us wrong information on a few occasions. They didn't know basic local information and always looked like they were bothered if we had a question. The hotel doesn't even have a price list in the room for the mini bar or q tips and vanity set. The room we stayed was suppose to be executive and renovated instead the paint was peeling off the wall and there were several mosquitos squished on the wall and not cleaned, the carpet on the floor wasn't clean and a carpet for a summer hotel is not the best idea anyway, the closets have no doors, so your clothes are just hanging by the entrance. The rooms are very small . I would look for another hotel to stay next time and will take under consideration the trip advisor reviews as it seems other guests were having the same issue. It is true when they say that the people make the place. Too bad. If they train the appropriate people to work at the desk , the location is not bad , this hotel can have the potential because the design of the lobby is cozy also.

The Sea View hotel is conveniently located in Glyfada: not far from Athens (40 mins by tram or 15 minutes by tube) and close to the sea. The infamous and noisy coastal road is just round the corner but rooms (ours, at least) are soundproof and climatised. There's a nice and clean pool where you can cool down after melting from the heat at the Acropolis. Restaurants around offer good cuisine at affordable prices and the area is very quiet. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. On the negative side, the personnel attitude is sloppy and lacks of the professional but smiley and warm attidute towards people I found almost everywhere in Greece. They took ages to clean the tables at the swimming pool which caused pidgeons having a snack and disseminating crumbles everywhere and an unpleasant stench coming from food left in the sun.
Food quality at breakfast was poor with a terrible wishy-washy cheap fruit juice that takes away your appetite for the day and other amenities like that.
Last but not least I thought they might have had some negative experience with Italians as they always brusquely asked for payment for everything we asked (we are a quiet family of four, rarely emitting any noise and frankly not the 'I will not pay' type).
Small adjustments to the above will make this hotel perfect.

Room Tip: The coastal road is round the corner but rooms seem to be soundproof (I do not know if all of them are so quiet as the one we had on the 5th floor). There are also some rooms just over the pool which might be noisy.

This hotel was very well situated as it was near the tram in to Athens and was near the beach. The rooms were very nice and clean, and the breakfast was adequate. Overall I had a positive stay and would suggest it to other people.
