The setting of this hotel is absolutely stunning; it feels palatial. Watching the sun set is a must-do and apparently many others thought the same. We saw several people on balconies taking in the view as well as on the ground floor outside the hotel.
We booked a standard run-of-the-mill bedroom but it certainly didn’t feel that way. There was an arch separating the sleeping area from the living area, and the colors were pleasing.
Room for improvement:
The bed was adequate but a bit on the firm side. We prefer softer mattresses. If you’re like us, you won’t sleep soundly through the night because of this.
The part we noticed the most was the bathroom. It needed a deeper cleaning: some of the grout in the shower/bath was visibly dirty but aside from this, the whole room appeared cleaned. I would have liked to see a different style shower head as well. It seemed a bit worn and grimy.
Although we haven’t stayed at any other local properties, I can see this one being a solid choice again. Its convenient location was helpful as well.
For its hotel class, this place is in a category of its own.More
