We have been to Cap*Rock several times, and while its venue is excellent, their wines tend to be hit-or-miss. Not bad, but maybe they're paying for the nice building? A couple we tried were just OK. When we came in from Woodrow Rd. we wondered if it was even open. The zinfandel is worth the price, as is their roussane (excellent vintage and well-crafted). Comment, and this has been a trend at Cap*Rock: less-than-knowledgeable servers. The young lady pouring for us was quite "in the dark" about anything that had to do with the wines, and while she was quite new, in this business it's vital that the servers understand their product.
