I love this museum and have been there multible times. The museum takes you through the oil history of East Texas. The different exhibits are detailed and if you need more information there is always a helpful and very knowledgeable employees close to you.

Every time I have visitors from Europe the museum is a must to visit. And they LOVE it.

This museum is incredible. The exhibits are informative, and the mock-up town is awesome. Great movie. A must-see attraction.

I have been here multiple times and each time is as good as the last visit.

There are so many time period pieces to appreciate and the "mock" town of Kilgore during the boom is simply fantastic.

I love that you can actually be up close and personal to the exhibits as opposed to a roped off area where you have to stand 10 feet back to view. I am super impressed with the attention to detail.

Very nostalgic!!!

We visit on our trips through the USA a lot of museums but this is the one you should not miss. We being dutch, so not knowing very much about the oil sector in Texas, learned a lot. The museum teaches you what it was to live and work in the thirties and forties in the oil towns in Texas. Also very good to take your children there. Don't miss it !

Came based on strength of reviews. While it had the signs of being a good museum some of the exhibits did not work and we did not get the audio. Without the audio it is a bit hard because there are few placards really telling you what you are seeing and why. The museum includes a turn of the century town which was neat -- but several of the exhibits did not talk. The movies were good.
