Nice homely resort with clean rooms and balcony - biggest attraction is that its pet friendly and Mr Bimal @ reception is very accommodating and friendly. Food is very good - although it will be good to have a printed menu which is missing. Ideal place for a small getaway nested around pristine surroundings
Additional info : 5000 year old Temple is near by and worth a visit but the nearest dept shops are around 30 Km away
Located in a valley surrounded by Brahmagiri hills and next to the Thirunellli temple , Mayookham resort is very well maintained .It is an ideal place for a break when you are on a drive to Kabini or Coorg from Calicut or on a visit to Thirunelli temple . They have an extremely friendly team led by Mr Bimal and ably assisted by Mr Bejoy . Their service is commendable and are always ready to help. They serve very tasty hot food with a good mix of Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian dishes . The air conditioned cottages are well maintained and spic and span .Fixtures in cottages are of good quality and beds are comfortable . The linen were all comfy and spotless .The wash rooms were very clean . They have a small play area for kids . We had a sold out family crowd in the resort during our stay . I would recommend this place to wind off , away from the hustle and bustle of city life or to take a break as you drive down across this place .
Nice group of about 18 cottage style rooms walking distance to Thirunelly temple. Property is nicely laid out and rooms are nice with large balconies. Perfect location if you are traveling in a group. Service is homely and friendly.
The resort is relatively new and offers decent rooms (space, fixtures etc.). We booked the room through bookings.com and it let us book a room for 5. The resort, however, didn't entertain our booking as they do not have any room for more than 3 people. The call to bookings.com didn't help either, so we had to pay extra for a bigger room. There are 2 rooms with 2 bedrooms, one of which is overlooking the inside porch. The other big room is overlooking the outside scenery (we were not given that room, unfortunately). The property is too far from the city and is only worth staying if one is spending more than 2 nights doing nothing. There is nothing much to do. We were caught in the heavy rain and therefore, couldn't do much.
One of the best in Thirunelly.. Very close to Thirunelly temple and situated in the midst of mountains on all four sides.
Good services and amenities in this area. Cottage type rooms with Balcony view. Breakfast served in a separate building with a view of the cottages. Overall best resort in Thirunelly!
