So after a 5 year absence to Houston, upon my arrival this trip, my first stop was Tex Chick Restaurant. This is postage stamp of a restaurant offering home cooked Puerto Rican food. It is small, 4 tables 4 chairs each. Homey, while you sit you can see your food being made at the kitchen which is right next to the tables. You order when you get in sit down drink a soda and wait for deliciousness to arrive. Food is great just like home made. Service is great very good conversation about Puerto Rico...all and all a great experience and one I will continue to experience every time I go to Houston. This place have to be doing something right, 35 years at the same location.
