This was a great hotel. I have to admit, pulling up to an old building rehabed as a hotel always makes me nervous. I figure small rooms, and bathrooms so tiny you can't change your mind.

I was totally wrong - I had a spacious rooms, huge double sink bath with the best hotel shower I've had.

I heartily recommend the hotel. And if the potato chips are out grab a handful. They were excellent.

The hotel was completely remodeled. Excellent rooms and amenities. My room was along the metro tracks so I did have some noise even though I was on the 6th floor. Breakfast was included with my room rate and was good. The bar was also very nice. Gym was reasonable for a hotel. Better than most although they could improve the cardio

Maria S. In the retaurant was great! She made us feel welcome. Unfortunately the second day of our stay the waiter Driss ( I think is his name ) was very inattentive, seemed like he didn't want to work that Sunday

My husband and often have weekend staycations in downtown Houston. The Icon is by far our favorite hotel. The location is superb and close to all of the bars and restaurants we like to hit when we are in town. Walking distance from our favorite late night spots such as La Carafe, Deans etc.. so no worrying about driving or finding an uber. The hotel is just so beautiful and charming with the grand lobby and all of charming touches in the room like tray ceilings, ornate moldings and the pretty blue paint in the on the walls and doors which I totally want to copy in my own home. Love the dual rainfall shower heads and the Acca Kappa bath products are so yummy. Most importantly, the rooms are super clean and so is the carpet which I am really super picky about not being gross and stained. Yay to the In room Keurig and Voss water too!

The Hotel Icon is very convenient in the heart of downtown Houston and you can walk to a lot of places within 8-12 blocks. Anything more, Hotel Icon has a shuttle that can accommodate a downtown restaurant, conference center, etc.

The front desk staff is friendly and is quick with check in. They were also extremely helpful and provided me with a toothbrush and toothpaste as I left them on my dresser at the house. Thank you!

There is beautiful character to this hotel as it is a boutique hotel with many antiques. Thus, they did a good mix with modern and old alike. The lobby and bar are connected and very nice to boot.

Also, they provide wonderful fresh brewed Katz coffee by morning and fruit infused water by day/early evening. Very nice touch.

The room is large with a comfortable bed with down comforter and pillows. Very nice but being allergic I got a polyester pillow. So problem avoided. The bed was great. The bathroom is spacious. It was a tad too dark though as it was hard to shave with the dim light. Also, the bottled water was a premium.

Overall, a charming hotel with a charming staff and I say Enjoy Hotel Icon, Autograph Collection!
