FLOORE'S was one of the first cowboy music and dance halls in South Texas, located near the stagecoach stop and river crossing in Helotes, Texas, just outside San Antonio. John T. Floore began inviting musicians to help bring customers to his store, adding an outdoor stage and seating, dinning and beer....and backing a local singer named WILLIE NELSON at the beginning of his career. Willie was a frequent player and singer and the sign on the wagon outside the store still proclaims WILLIE NELSON every week. Willie still makes his FLOORE's gig at least once a year. Meanwhile, famous and beginning musicians keep FLOORE's boot scootin' and sending country music over the Hill Country. Ya gotta see and hear it to believe it!

Amazing show by Josh Abbott Band and Flatland Calvary! Unfortunately, what stands out in my mind is how a horrible experience it was to try to get out of the show. I was in a wheelchair for the show and due to everyone throwing beer cans on the ground, had to have several people help get me out of the venue. Before the beer cans were on the floor it was hard enough to get around. I will try going back, but will try taking a walker this time rather than a wheel chair. There are always great acts going on here.

Iconic music venue and nostalgic Texas bar. Sunday free family dance great for tourists with kids. Willie Nelson used to play here in the 60s. Their sign still shows Willie on Sundays...

I've been to John T's several times (to see Gary Allan), it's one of my most favorite outdoor concert venues. The drinks are always on point and not crazy expensive.

Saw many concerts here and highly recommend you go to at least one! It's so much fun and the crowds are the best!! It's hot in the summer, dress appropriately!

Went to the Floore Country Store for the Arron Lewis concert and it was awesome. The venue itself was very impressive and definitely coming back for another concert! Had a great time with my wife even though we sweated up a storm. The ice cold beers helped and a gust of wind every now and then was much welcomed. All in all it was a great night! Hey I even caught a drumstick from the first band (Grant Gilbert) and they also put on a great show.

My wife and I had the experience of seeing Willie Nelson perform at John T Floore Country store. It was a treat. That is where Willie got his start and it is an authentic Texas honky tonk. If you are looking for a place with nice amenities to listen to music, this isn't it. Porta Potties are not elegant anywhere. But if you want to watch an act in an authentic venue this is as good as it gets. It was clean (compared to other honky tonks) and it was fun. It is close to San Antonio and easy to get to.
