The weekly farmers market (Friday - Sunday) located in The Shed is a great way to find local produce and artisanal goods. The 26,000 sf Market (open daily fro 10 am - 6 pm) includes local restaurants and gifts stores. Urban Farmhouse and Charming Flower Shop are opening in the Harvest Retail in 2018.

Going on a weekday there were no produce stalls, so it was a misnomer to call it a farmer's market. But some nice enough retail outlets and coffee shops in the inside area. If you're after a real farmer's market experience obviously you need to go at the weekend.

Open everyday!! Tried 8 spices - the hummus was the best I’ve had. Grabbed an iced latte at Palmieri and found some hilarious T-shirt’s for the family. Walking distance from our hotel Magnolia on commerce. Outdoor seating available around the whole thing! Construction going on beside and in front so noisy but still worth it!

Dallas Farmer's Market is just south of downtown Dallas. Although it is small, it has a variety of quality shops and foods. Free parking garage in the building just south of the market. Quick in and out place to stop for fresh vegetables and fruit.

We were so impressed by the Dallas Farmer's Market! We've been to Pike's Place, San Francisco, Portland, and European markets, and Dallas' market is just as fun! There is the outdoor market, called The Shed, that is open on the weekends, and the indoor market is open during the week. The vendors and the atmosphere reminded me of Pike's Place Market! The indoor market has great restaurants and gift shops, and is an awesome place to rest with the kids and get a snack. The parking is free in the parking garage, and you can walk right over to the market. It's great for a family day out, or for a date night. A must see in Dallas!

The improvements to the Dallas Farmers Market makes it well worth a visit. There is the open air market for produce and goodies and an enclosed building that has a butcher shop, prepared food vendors, gift shops etc. you can get a meal or just a snack. Across from this building is Mudhen, Meat and Greens restaurant featuring excellent farm to table dishes. Restaurant is a place for vegetarians, vegans and also carnivores. Also across the street is the spectacular flower market that offers a large variety of flowers, plants and pottery. The area is child friendly and good for all ages.
