This was a true dining experience. We came to this restaurant quite simply because my wife and I were looking for a great high end steakhouse while visiting Dallas for a weekend getaway from the Midwest. It was rated #1 by tripadvisor and who were we to question it. There is no question this is the best steakhouse I've been to anywhere. Every aspect of this experience was first rate. We were seated in a beautiful room with a floor to ceiling wine wall showcasing their extensive wine collection. The atmosphere was quiet enough to allow easy conversation without raising your voice yet was quite energetic. They had live entertainment in the background to add to the ambiance. The waiter knew the menu very well as well as the wine selections. He made recommendations and he was right on with these. My wife had a New York strip and I had a bone in ribeye. Both were second to none. The asparagus side was cooked perfectly with a very light seasoned butter glazing that was almost imperceptible until you tasted it. The chocolate covered strawberries for desert were exemplary. Very large fresh strawberries covered with both white and dark fine chocolate. After dinner we ventured down McKinney st. on the trolly to find a nice outdoor patio bar for an after dinner cocktail. After taking the trolly the entire length of the street we came back and had our drink outside back at Perry's. We were welcomed back in and had a drink enjoying the outdoor patio and again listening to the live music in the background.
