Been staying at this hotel for years with our softball team. Since the new owner has taken over in last year it has went down hill. They have lost there good help (Reba) They have one housekeeper. Owner locks up all pillows and extra blankets. He has taken out all hot food including the waffle maker. This hotel is not up to standard with Wyndam by far. Luckily he has Debra helping from next doors Holiday Inn on weekends or he would have an empty hotel. Shes wonderful and does what she can to try to make the guest happy. Do yourself a favor and stay at Holiday Inn next door. Our softball team will never stay here again until another owner purchase it.

Stopped here for a night as we were headed down for a cruise. It was a very clean hotel, staff was nice and the room had everything we needed. I am a very picky person and I had no complaints. Had a decent continental breakfast with waffles, bacon and eggs. Can't be beat for the price. :)

Room wasn't stocked with additional towels. Room was warm upon arrival. It's August in Texas. There should never be a time when the air isn't on in a room. Conversely, the refrigerator was below freezing. It froze our fresh fruit and vegetables. It also froze our juices. The breakfast buffet was the worst of all. There were gnats and flies inside of the bins where the bread and pastries were supposed to be. The only hot options available were a few sausages and a bowl of eggs that were sitting on the steamer. Literally, there was one fork in the bins were the spoons, forks and knives were. There were several spoons and knives, but only one fork. Six members of my family stayed in three different rooms. All of us agree that we won't be back.

Overall excellent stay. Staff very nice. Room clean and comfortable and quiet. A/C worked great especially for these hot Texas days. The only reason I did not give 4 stars. No elevator, so if you travel like we do and always carry to much stuff including a rolling ice chest ask for a 1st floor room.
