We have stayed at this outstanding B&B four times over the past three years while my husband has been in the area on business. Each visit gets better and better!
Teresa and Steve are warm, friendly, and very knowledgable about the surrounding hill country. Teresa is an avid participant in Cowboy Action Shooting around the local Boerne/Comfort/Frederkicksburg area and was even involved in the making of a recent western movie in the Hill Country. With her extensive knowledge of the surrounding area, Teresa has provided a detailed welcome packet with menus from area restaurants to include the Welfare Cafe, Waring General Store Steak Nite, PoPo's Family Restaurant as well as information on local attractions and upcoming events.
The B&B, decorated in a western theme, is separate from the main house providing ample privacy...though Teresa has always been readily available when we've had questions or wanted recommendations. The B&B has its own full kitchen and is prestocked with sodas, bottled water, incredible pasteries from a local Boerne bakery, gourmet coffee/tea, cereal, chips/salsa, popcorn and condiments...as well among many other goodies!
The king size bed is very comfortable, and we just love the fluffly towels. The large detached deck is a favorite spot in the evenings when we have a glass of wine and use the grill that is provided. With such a peaceful setting, we often see numerous deer, turkey, and other wildlife.
The B&B is located north of Boerne off I-10 down a tranquil, meandering country road. It is located on about 4 acres and is fenced. Most of the property owners around the B&B live on larger acreage provided a nice, quiet setting.
Additionally, Teresa and Steve are animal lovers. In fact, we sometimes think they look forward to our return visits more to see our dog, Evie, then us! (We travel extensively with our dog and have never found more pet friendly accomodations)!
We can't recommend this small, inviting B&B enough for anyone who is looking for a quiet, relaxing, Texas Hill Country getaway that is still close to everything!
