We stayed prior to departing on a cruise from Galveston. This is without question an older property. Our check-in quick with a very friendly front desk attendant. Our room had been updated and was clean, but it did have a musty smell. It was not overpowering, but not something I find in my numerous stays (60+) per year in Hilton properties. The breakfast was typical Hampton Inn, satisfying. It's clear this place is a party hotel as folks were up and down the halls well into the early morning hours being quite noisy. If I had to I would be back again, I would more than likely opt for the Hilto Garden Inn which sits close by.

Room Tip: Check your room before accepting it.

We stayed here 61 nights while working to restore power after Hurricane Harvey. The hotel changed their breakfast times to 5:30 to accommodate us, which needed to leave at 5:45. Never one issue even after 61 days.

We found this hotel met our expectations for a Hampton Inn. It was nicely decorated, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable and we were not bothered by any noise. Our room with a king-sized bed seemed sparsely furnished but we were only there to sleep so that didn't matter to us. There was a refrigerator but no freezer. I usually count on that as I travel with a freezer pack that I like to put in the freezer overnight.

Breakfast also met expectations with options and quality. The coffee was very good.

I loved Hampton Inns . So while in the area we selected this hotel because of the guarantee and 100% policy. Really disappointed about the room we were given upon arrival which we found through Hilton Honors customer service. we were told it was the last room available , but that wasn't true by the staff or customer service. When we enter it smelled like a nursing home with a bad odor of urine smell. Then they just happen to find a room another room with broken phone that made redialing sounds until we unplugged it. That was the recommendation of the front desk clerk No phone service during our stay. OMG! Maintenance came the next morning to repair the phone at 8am and woke us up. But we were checking out so we didn't need it then. We were told the odor in the handicap room wasn't really bad. Not true do check out #129 before paying. The rooms near the front you can hear the traffic from the streets.

Always kept up and clean. Some of the staff is unprofessional, but polite. Not the best check in / out process. Checked out at the front desk. But they didn't check me out for 4 more days and charged my company.
