We visited in early April the second day the cave opened for the season. We lucked out with the first tour of the day at 10:00 and had a wonderful personable guide. He took us through the very wet caverns (don't bring good shoes) and showed us all the features that the cave offered, from a stream running through to an old moonshine still. The tour takes about an hour overall. Nothing ultra exciting like the major caves in the US but it's always fun to see other ones and what they offer. A $1 AAA discount is offered, just ask for it.

This was very beautiful. Our tour guide, who I believe came to TN from MS was very knowledgeable about the caverns. Great guy. The caverns were beautiful. A must see!

The tour was just the right amount of education and fun facts with enough time to see the sights. Very cool mineral formations. Our two kids were never bored (ages 9 and 6) and said it was amazing! Our tour guide was great. Just be aware that it will be a bit muddy if it has just rained so dress appropriately.

Over the last two years we have seen 5 different Caverns and this one was our favorite! They are closed Sundays but it says that on all the bill boards and website. Our guide was very knowledgeable and nice. It is an active cavern, so you will get dropped on a lot and shoes will get muddy. Not appropriate for strollers, wheelchairs and weak walkers.
