After a freak icing made getting to the cabin we rented impossible, we decided to stay in the area and find a hotel for the 2 nights we would be missing. Since we already had one night reserved at this property, they were the first we called. The night audit (night shift FD) was extremely friendly and helpful and got us setup in about 5 minutes.
Our room was a suite with two rooms and the beds were comfy enough. The fireplace worked as did all the other amenities. Wifi was tolerable -- I was able to stream without issue -- but wasn't the best I've seen.
My only complaint, and some of you may enjoy this, is that smoking is banned, even on the patios. I have no problem with smoke-free rooms -- i prefer them too -- but the whole reason I book at a plae that has patios is for this very reason. Anywhoo, I digress.
Breakfast was waffles, nuked eggs and sausage patties, along with other staples such as cereal and toast. The pool is heated and was a nice escape from a cramped room on a rainy day :)
All in all, would I stay here again? Maybe if I quit smoking or they change their silly no-smoking-on-a-patio rule. Until then, probably not.More
