What a great experience. I requested an early check in and called the hotel on my way at 10:15am and to my suprise my room was ready. The front desk was very friendly! My room was clean and comfortable. Breakast was good with waffles, oatmeal and muffins.

Room Tip: Request a high floor

We stopped through here on our spring break vacation. First of all, if you have never been to the area you must understand that this is a tourist area and you are going to have families in your hotel. If you don't want this don't stay in this area. With this said, this is THE NICEST SpringHill that I have stayed in and I travel quite a bit for work (plantinum elite with Marriott). This location is less just a few years old and they take great pride in their location. When they are busy like they were the week we were there they struggle to keep up with breakfast, but overall they did great. They even opened up one of their meeting rooms both mornings we were there for over flow. They have wonderful fitness center and an inside pool and outside pool with a slide!! The kids loved it!! I hope to see many more locations like this omen in the future.

At the end of the day, wherever you have been in this tourist mecca, Springhill Suites is a welcome retreat. It is most of all friendly and very clean, with well-equipped suites in a quiet restful atmosphere, that is very welcoming at the end of a busy day. The breakfasts are complete, offering hot and cold choices. There is something for everyone, from healthy hot oatmeal, yogurt, and fruit to the more decadent waffles, scrambled eggs and breakfast meats. If you're travelling with a family, the microwave, refrigerator, and semi-private sofa bed are super handy to have right in your room. If you're a business person, the iPod dock in the room and the airline check in in the lobby are also well thought out. I would stay here again, and do recommend it for your stay in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg.

I don't know what you couldn't possibly like about this hotel. We've gone to the Pigeon Forge/Seveirville/Gatlinburg area of Tennessee for 3 or 4 years now and we've always stayed in a cabin...this is the first time we didn't. Frankly, I don't know if I'll ever go back to the cabins, now! With the AAA rate we saved almost fifty bucks off the regular room rate which was almost a third of what you'd spend per night to stay in a cabin. The hotel must be new(ish) and the lobby and breakfast area was clean and visually appealing. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were well-accommodated and clean. The hotel was booked solid yet we didn't here a peep from other guests---no yelling, running, doors slamming...none of that that you hear at other hotels. I really expected to be kept awake with one form of chaos or another, but it was a perfectly quiet hotel.

Quite possibly the best reason you can stay here is the location. We walked to 2 of the restaurants we ate at that weekend (Bullfish Grill and Partridge & a Pear), MagiQuest (a surprisingly fun attraction--see my review on that one) was practically in the hotel's parking lot, and we were just a couple of miles away from the Tanger Outlets. If you've been to Pigeon Forge before (particularly during peak season) you know traffic can be BAAAAAD. We had the unfortunate experience of being in town during a major Hot Rod car show AND the Titanic's 100th anniversary (there's a Titanic museum in town that was booked solid b/c of the anniversary). Traffic was INSANE. On Sunday we heard a couple say they left a restaurant at 11pm and didn't make it back to their hotel till 3am. I mean it was NUTS. SO, back to location....the back entrance of the hotel is right on Teaster Lane which runs parallel to the main drag that's bogged down with traffic...very few people travel this road so whenever we wanted to go somewhere we just hopped on their and zipped past all the folks in the terrible stop-and-go traffic the next street over. Perhaps the town's best-kept secret! In fact, there are a lot of roads like that in the area. On our way out of town heading towards the interstate there was 7 MILES of 5mph stop-and-go traffic....hit the Detour button on GPS and off we went on yet another parallel route that probably saved us at least an hour being stuck in traffic. Highly recommend looking for such alternatives.

If I HAD to find something to improve upon, it would be breakfast. It wasn't bad by any means and the staff did an excellent job re-stocking things as all the hotel guests poured over the options. I just think it was very basic (bagels, muffins, waffles, cereal) and more options would've been better. But again, it wasn't bad.

A great place to stay in Pigeon Forge! A short drive to Dollywood, Wonder Works and many restaraunts and other attractions. The kids loved the indoor and outdoor pool. I loved the excercise room. The front desk staff always had a smile and ready to help. The maid service was great and the rooms were very clean. The hotel was a little crowded especially during breakfast time. We had to wait a couple of morning for refills of food, but when the tables would fill, they would open the conference room for overflow. One of the most friendly and helpful places we have stayed. A great place for small children, tweens, teens and families!
