“Not worth the money...”
Reviewed 31 May 2012

Trying to get away with the family memorial day weekend and I'm sorry I picked this hotel! Its not necessarily a "bad" hotel, but just not worth the price that I paid. And in my opinion, this would actually be a 2.5 star hotel, not a 3 or 4 star as some label it. The best thing, was the indoor pool being right outside of our room...

We enjoyed our stay at the Radisson with the exception of a few minor things -
*No fridge in the room (we like to be able to bring drinks and not haul around a cooler)
*Indoor pool was either not heated or just way too cold. I couldn't get in, however my husband and son did, but complained the entire time about how cold it was.

Other than that, I can't complain about anything else really, it's a nice place and was a decent stay.

Room Tip: Rooms that face the inner atrium seem to be quieter. (Vs facing outside - though I don't know if...

I really don't understand the negative reviews.. I guess everyone has an opinion.. We had an absolutely wonderful stay.. we went on Memorial Day weekend.. We were there to record a CD. The staff put all 3 room together, on first floor, facing the atrium and swimming pool. King rooms, very clean, sleep number beds.. my room had a problem with a running toilet. Called front desk and a repair person was there in less than 15 minutes.. Problem fixed.. what more can you ask for.. Hotel is walking distance to many nice places and eating places. Nashville Palace, Music City Live, Scoreboard, in walking distance.. shuttle available to downtown, but we drove... FABULOUS STAY!!!

This Radisson is like a tale of two hotels. There are the inside rooms that face an open and covered atrium with a large pool and dining/meeting area. It almost has, on an infinitely smaller scale of course, a Luxor feel to it. Unfortunately, for every one of those rooms is an outside, motel-like room. And it is those rooms that are loud, especially the east-side ones.

The room itself was just average and had cob webs around the inside door. That and I don't think there was a fridge in the room either. So about the only thing going for it was the free shuttle to the Opry and the very nice indoor pool (it was, easily, the best on our trip).

But, perhaps, the biggest problem was the staff. We knew the back was noisy, so the person put us in a room that supposedly wasn't facing the highway. Yet, as we walked around to find it, it turned out the room actually faced the highway and the back of a Stuckeys. So we had to change the room. A couple other times when we had to ask about something, they seemed to almost be guessing at the answer. Some were friendly enough, but they simply didn't know their jobs. If this was typical of a Radisson, we will avoid them like the plague from now on.

Room Tip: Do not get an outside room! Ask for inside only, and accept the possibility that may be screwed up u...

I considered staying at the Opreylamd resort until I discovered the quoted hotel price didn't include parking or a "resort fee", which together added another $37 to the before tax room rate.

The Radisson was considerably cheaper PLUS a free shuttle takes you to the resort, so you can enjoy the gardens, waterfalls etc. for free.

Our room was very clean, sleep never beds are awesome, it was quiet, and the pool was just right.
Free Internet and parking, coffee in the room, and a hair dryer that isn't attached to the wall.
Everything I need to maker happy!
