The property is well located in Dixon Creek surrounded by many wineries and scenic landscapes. It is within short drive to Healsville, Maroondah Dam, Kinglake, Toolangi and Yea. The one bedroom cottage we stayed in is well maintained, cosy, spotless clean, comfortable bed, cosy lounge with well equipped kitchen. It has all that you need for a homely place away from home. The well supplied breakfast provided has shown that Jan and Ron, the owners have made the effort to ensure guests enjoy their stay. The surrounding garden areas are well maintained and neat. The Dixon Creek Cafe and Restaurant which is also a popular place with the locals and visitors is only 5 minutes walk just behind the cottage. Strongly recommended as a place to stay to truly enjoy Yarra Valley.

This is the second time we have stayed in Rose Cottage at Leafield. The cottage is quaint, welcoming and comfortable. There is nothing that is too much trouble for the proprietors who are fantastic hosts. Rose cottage has 2 bedrooms, a good size & comfortable lounge and a well equipped kitchen which also has BBQ facilities if needed.
The cottage is central to many local wineries and, of course, the Chocolateir.
We could not speak more highly of this facility and would recommend it to anyone wanting to explore the area.

Room Tip: Rose Cottage is fantastic

We booked the cottage as we were going to a wedding nearby. It was easy to find the place, the owner was friendly and ansered our questions. The cottage we stayed in had a real kitchen a slow combustion oven as well as reversed air con. Breakfast was provided and consisted in croissants, bread, cereals, milk, butter, jams, tea coffee.
We also had chocolates. I thought it was a bit noisy due to the water pump? And the traffic. But i would certainely stay again there.

The kids got us this little weekend away as a Wedding present and to be honest i wasn't sure what to expect , not being a Wine connoisseur. We arrived early and sat in Dixons Creek Cafe Bar and Grill for a few beers and it was wonderful , a prelude to our stay and it got better and better.
The Lady who own's Leafield Cottages showed us to our bungalow and even lit our fire as i'm no Boy Scout and She ( Jan ) was an awesome , beautiful
lady , an excellent host.
The Bungalow was very clean , the bed absolutely comfy as , the place had the feel of history about it , real Victorian heritage, something we don't have in the Western Suburbs. We were very sad to leave , couldn't recommend this highly enough, get our Bungalow ready for us Jan x.

Our stay at this beautiful cottage was simply wonderful. The owners were both lovely and very welcoming. They supplied us with a map of the surrounding wineries, gave us a lovely tour of the grounds and showed us to our cottage which was the Hanaby Cottage. The cottage itself was spotless, the size was more than comfortable for two people and had a more than adequate operational kitchen. They even suggested to us a great place to eat lunch during our ventures in the area.

The breakfast provided consisted of cereal, milk, fruit cups and a fresh loaf of bread from a local bakery, which was delicious. The noise from the traffic is way less than what you would get in a suburban area and was no issue at all like what other people have claimed. The gardens were beautiful and well maintained. We honestly could not fault anything.

It was a very relaxing two night stay and we will definitely recommend it to our friends and family and will certainly be going back for another lovely stay.

Thank you Ron and Jan for being such friendly and outstanding hosts and for making our stay at your cottages such a wonderful experience.

Regards,
Phyllis and Brett Martin

Room Tip: The Hanaby Cottage is great for a couple.
