When booking with the owners I specified that we were after 2 rooms as we had our 11 month old son with us and he is noisy when he sleeps. He guaranteed us there was definetly 2 rooms and the second room was upstairs. We arrived to find that there was definetly 2 rooms, the kitchen downstairs and the bedroom upstairs. The bedroom consisted of a queen bed and 2 singles all in one room all within one pace of each other. Not much sleep was had! There are also very low rafters, my husband is just over 6 foot and smacked his head several times. There was also no breakfast, which you would expect if someone advertised as a B & B. it was clean and well supplied and close to town

We were travelling from Adelaide to Sydney and stayed a few places along the way. We were travelling by car and using a sat nav it found everywhere else but when we put in the address it brought us to a field funny now but werent that impressed at the time we were tired from travelling. We found it though near a very small town with a nice grocery store, a small cafe and internet access. The b and b has beautiful gardens the room we stayed in was ok size and nicely decorated a small kitchen with a microwave, kettle, fridge and table and chairs and bathroom. Kinda tight to park in. Thought it was dear for a b and b for 2 of us $120 for a night. Good for a couple that want a nice, quite romantic wk-end. Not so good for some1 on hols to sightsee as not much around to see besides the goldmines that we didn't a chance to see. We got a breakfast of bread, butter, jam and juice i think.

My family and I travel to the Melbourne area several times per year form Sydney and love to stay at this guesthouse in the Maple Grove Cottage. It is always clean and quiet. The rooms are large and work so well for our family of 5. great beds, 2 TVs, a large meal area with a full kitchen all to ourselves. For the price we pay we do not mind that breakfast is not included. We bring our own I think its really great value Dieter & Karin are always helpful and friendly and I cant wait to return.
We highly recommend this place

Room Tip: For groups its the cottage .previously I enjoyed The Terrace with total privacy. Its got terrace all...

We only stayed one night unfortunately, but this little place is a gem, run by lovely people. The gardens are really beautiful. I wish the weather had been better as it would have been nice to spend more time there.

There is so much loving attention given to detail, and everything was of a really high quality.
The prices are excellent also.

It is a short stroll from the centre of Yackandandah. This town is a revelation. Truly beautiful. I did not know that this valley existed. The most beautiful central landscape I have seen in Victoria.

We had business in nearby Albury, and were so glad we chose to stay here instead of there. We are thinking of coming back for a little longer for my partner's birthday in September.

We did not book for breakfast, but owner Karin provided some lovely jams and butter for us, as we brought some of our own supplies.

Wifi works better here than at home in Melbourne.

We have stayed here numerous times in the past & have thoroughly enjoyed it. The place is gorgeous & the gardens divine, however, if you stay in the terrace apartment, it can be rather noisy from the owners who live next door. Also, we have found that each time we stay, there is less breakfast, & our last visit recently, we weren't provided with breakfast at all. This seems to us to go against the idea of a B&B.Luckily the bakery provided a light breakfast, however, we didn't think that we should have to pay extra, when you are under the impression that breakfast is included at a B&B. Would stay there again (even though the bed is very uncomfortable), however, would definitely check to see the inclusions before agreeing on a price.

Room Tip: There are only 2 accomodations to chose from. There is a cottage which is seperate & can accomo...
