I have been going to this restaurant for over twenty years (I live in the Heidelberg area) and the food has always been great. It is a very small restaurant so it may be wise to book early especially if there is a group of you. The staff provide a good friendly service, it's BYO and the prices are very reasonable. However, it can be a bit noisy when there are groups of people there making it hard to hear fellow diners at the other end of the table. Perhaps it's an age thing with me, but I find that quite a lot of restaurants are noisy because they don't have carpet, curtains or soft furnishings.
