We stopped here for lunch on a long journey.

The place is very well catered for in terms of space and variety of food and this would be a great place to stay for a night.

The food was delicious, At $7 a pie it should be too...however after eating we were content enough that it was reasonable value.

Service was a bit so so.

Hi Peter S,
Glad you could stop in & enjoy one of our home made chunky rump steak pies. Hopefully next visit you have more time & can sit down for a meal or stay the night to break up your long journey.
Thank you for your review.

John

We stayed three nights over Easter; it was fortunate that we were unable to get accomodation in Bright because we enjoyed the peace and quiet of Harrietville but were still close enough to the holiday action. Management and staff were very friendly and went the extra way to make our stay very comfortable. The rooms are from a bygone era but were very clean and adequate. The atmosphere in the bar and restaurant is relaxing and welcoming.

Staying in Bright and took the short drive to Harrietville for lunch. The pub section is amazing, full of memorabilia and history and immaculately presented. Toilets were spotless, which sadly is not always the case in many eating houses. Young waitress was friendly and efficient. My wife had the vegetable lasagne and I had the whole trout which was scrumptious. We did not utilise accommodation so those aspects were not applicable to this review.

Stopped for lunch at the Harrietville hotel motel, service was friendly, the hotel was very clean. We shared a pizza, it was one of the best we have had for a long time. We would definitely stop there again.

Thankyou Deetravela for your review.
We are glad you noticed the cleanliness of the place - wouldn't have it any other way.
We make our own dough & source fresh ingredients for our pizzas - it really makes a difference !!!
Look forward to seeing you next time.

Booked 5 night stay for a group of 4 couples in 4 rooms. Arrived AFL Grand Final Saturday. Busy with a rowdy clientele enjoying the footy. Book in was prompt and proprietor was friendly. Rooms basic and dated but clean. Cleaning done most days with fresh towels. Nice outdoor area although the pool filter going all hours of the day and night was annoying. Stayed only for one evening meal on the premises first night and whilst it took an hour to reach our table the food was wholesome pub fare....nothing fancy. I guess the busy finals day had the few staff working a bit run off their feet.
