“A comfortable, well located place”
Reviewed 5 January 2011

Location is great: at the beginning I was a little put off by the fact that it is in the center of town (who wants "town" when visiting a national park?), until we arrived there and realized that the "town" is just a couple of cafes and souvenir shops. We were there at the busiest period (Christmas time) but it still felt very quiet and relaxed, and then you're right next door from the shops which is practical. And it's also a very rural feel : every evening there were kangaroos (wild but not at all shy) grazing just in front of the hotel.
The rooms are large, with a totally separated bedroom. The kitchen is basic: just a wash basin and a microwave, no stove. But you can use the barbecue in the common area. The staff is friendly, and there is wireless internet available; it's not free, but it's very cheap. There is also a heated indoor pool, a definite plus.
All in all, a great place.

It's motel style (i.e. you drive to the door) but it has been developed in a series of units within a parkland setting where kangaroos stroll through. We found it quiet (because we enjoy the sound of the birds in the morning) even though it is a very short walk away from the main road, shops, and restaurants. The room was spacious, hot water was hot, and it had all we needed such as crockery and cutlery, fridge, microwave, which made it easy for snacks.
Will stay there again. So much to see in the Grampians.

This lodge was recommended by another motel in the area as we required two bedrooms for our two night stay. The rooms were spacious and the front door led onto lush gardens and I think about five acres of green grass with various types of birds (including some lovely blue robins) and some friendly maggies. There were also some resident wallabies to help keep the grass down. The location was one street back from the main street so easy access to eateries. Management was very friendly (even when I had locked our key in the room when going to dinner!).
Overall ambience was very restful and peaceful and of course location so close to walks and lookouts. We would return again. thanks Barry & Mimie for a pleasant stay

went for a road trip, and ended up in Halls Gap,looked on tripadvisor and found the Pinnacle Lodge read the comments and were not sure about the reviews so decided to give it a try and My God we had a fantastic time, management were so friendly, took us through the units to inspect them they were so big and clean a standard room was huge. We were so happy that we didn't listen to the bad reviews and would highly recommend this to everyone, the only thing is do not buy your grocery's in Halls Gap they are so dear get them in Stawell we booked in for one night at the Pinnacles and stayed for 3 nights. Thank-you to the managers for a great time. The Hutchies..Gippsland

Thanks for the great stay. Room was spacious and well-equipped, heated pool was the best after a day out walking. Your friendly service and assistance was appreciated. We'll be back in the spring.
