The owners should be congratulated on such a awesome place like 1860. Set in the country but close to the main street, it really is a great place to get away from life for the weekend. Comes with everything modern inside wifi, deep bathtub and fire place but also comes with the charm of 1860. Will be telling friends and family to come and stay. Two big thumbs up

We had a wonderful 5 nights at 1860 !
This is a beautiful building, set in lovely peaceful gardens. Lots of birdlife around.
The house itself is more than comfortable for a long stay, good cooking facilities, washing machine & dryer, clothes line.
TV, DVD, music.
Easy walking distance into town for dining & exploring & a great base for day trips exploring the region.

“Perfect romantic getaway”
Reviewed 8 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We have just returned from our weekend break at 1860 and we couldn't be more sorry to leave. The beautifully renovated and very comfortable cabin exceeded our expectations. Gina has taken great care and attention to detail to ensure that guests have a wonderful experience. From the breakfast hamper, to the morning fresh bread and paper delivery, to the very convenient check in/out policy, we felt taken care of but provided our privacy. 1860 is perfect for a romantic break or solo hiatus. We are already planning our return.

“Just Beautiful”
Reviewed 31 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

I really loved 1860.
We arrived on a winter night to a warm place with welcoming touches. The fire was stacked ready to light, comfortable couches, soft bathrobes and a big bath.
It's a beautiful property in a beautiful setting, and certainly worth a romantic stay.

Our only downside was that we couldn't linger, and had to leave early the next morning.

Good excuse to go back, I think!

“A Unique Luxury Experience with Uniquely Exceptional Service”
Reviewed 22 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We spent our 15 year wedding anniversary at 1860. We soaked up the true luxury with beautiful fittings throughout, gorgeous fireplace, lovely products - coffees and teas to enjoy and local skincare range, Francis Pilley. Close to 2 hatted restaurants and wineries, Beechworth Honey (enjoyed the Mead!) and local shopping too. What was unique was that we felt it was our own place, with no formal checking in and checking out process - Gina carefully communicated via email, text and lovely notes in the apartment so we knew what to do and could come and go as we pleased. Lovely touches like fresh bread delivered in the morning. Will definitely be back and have already recommended this unique experience to work colleagues and friends.
