The word boutique means serving a sophisticated or specialised clientelle. I have stayed here several times but over the years the service, and the occupancy rate, seem to be declining. It's a nice place in a good location but not for the prices. Rooms are clean and tidy but hardly big enough for a dog to wag it's tail.
One may wonder why the Hughenden can flaunt the mandatory health rules of not permitting dogs in areas where people are eating unless they are a guide or assistance dog.
I cannot think of any cafe allows dogs so why do some people believe they are above health and safety laws.
None of the staff present made any move to request the fluffy mutt be relocated outside. I have a dog too, that''s why I stay here but he remains either in the room or on a leash outside the eating area when I go for breakfast.
Bit of a disappointment on this occasions.More
