“Pictures Don't Do It Justice”
Reviewed 25 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Owners Sue and Malcolm, prior to arrival, provided exceptionally clear instructions to locate the place together with helpful information about local area and facilities.
Great welcome.
Lovely place to stay. Nice and roomy for O/Seas visitors with lots of stuff with them.
The setting is sublime with a little stream running down below the outside decking. Quiet and tranquil.

The history of the building’s past is well documented. The restoration of the building (with a few improvements for modern day) is a credit to the designer and the workmen who did the job.
Able to back the car nearly to the entrance door to make transfer of luggage easy.
Includes everything you could think of, then more, to help towards an enjoyable and trouble free stay.
Location great for day trips exploring.
Comfortable bed. And brilliant shower. Large cubicle with strong water pressure.
Easy to control room temperature.
You can see the owner’s small personal accommodation unit from The Old Kiln. That is not a distraction even when they were there over the weekend. During this trip we have stayed in eight holiday lets. Some have been great but would rate The Old Kiln as the best of the lot.
Very good value for money.

So pleased you enjoyed yourselves at our cottage and thank you for the compliment about my jams and chutneys, I have just been making more blackberry and apple jam, damson jam and damson chutney!!
The cottage is well placed for visiting the lovely countryside and coast of Mid Wales yet its setting is truly tranquil and relaxing.
Kind regards

The Old Kiln is certainly the place to chill, relax and unwind.
There are no shops in the village so we encourage guests to purchase groceries from larger towns en route as the local stores, 3 miles away, will only have a limited selection. We also provide kitchen items you might forget like sandwich bags, foil, stock cubes etc.... guests appreciate this home from home approach.
Thank you for such a positive review , we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you again soon.
Kind Regards
Sue & malcolm

“A lovely retreat”
Reviewed 29 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The Old Kiln is a lovely property which is perfect for relaxation due to its setting right next to a stream. It has been decorated to a high standard and is well equipped with everything you might need during your stay. There is lots to see and do around the area, with the Hafren Forest close by, not to mention the coastal town of Aberdovey which is well worth visiting. The owners are also very friendly and helpful, so if peace and quiet is what you are after this is the place to stay.
