Friendly welcome. Plenty of parking. Excellent breakfast with good quality food. Had The Admirals room with a balcony. Comfortable but watch your head on the beams! If you like fine dining, eat at the hotel next door.

We were greeted by the owner in a glum and dismal manner. We were taken to the room called Captain. Upon entering the room the carpet was dirty and stained. I asked to be given a room with clean carpet and was told that nothing else was available. We had booked with Contours Walking Holidays and the three nights were prepaid. The owner did not offer help with our luggage while helping others. The mattress in the room had a plastic bed pad. The pillows were worn out as well as the sofas and the stool by the makeup table felt like it was going to collapse when I sat on it. If you turn the room key to the left when opening the door you will be locked in the room after closing the door. We had to call the owner the next morning to come and open the door We were told that we obviously had turned the key the wrong way when opening the door. I feel that this is a big safety hazard in case of fire or emergency.
However the breakfast was excellent and the B&B is very convenient to town.
Poor value for the money.

Stayed: July 2017

Plenty of room, comfy bed and even a bath for after days of exploring and walking, clean and welcoming with friendly helpful staff. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice served without fuss. Convenient for walks and city and buses. We will be back.

A walking group of five, plus two supporters, stayed for a week spanning the end of May and beginning of June. From the moment we arrived William was most welcoming and accommodating. His staff were equally cheerful and helpful. Breakfast was so good that I had more ' Full Welsh ' breakfasts than I should have but they were difficult to resist.

The location was perfect being so close to everything yet quiet, and with tons of parking.

I am really looking forward to returning with my wife.
