Six of us hired the house for a walking week mid-September. Located well away from the main road, in amongst other detached, residential plots, it sits on the low rocky tip of the Bay with the Wales Coast Path skirting the garden wall. Ten to fifteen minutes stroll north, past a lookout post and an old lifeboat station, took us to the wide, sandy beach and the general stores at Treaddur Bay. We loved the place from the moment we poured through the front door, into the lounge and gasped at the views from the back of the house, out over the bay.
The building is an attractive mix of solid, old fixtures & fittings and bright mod cons. Old? Thick, thick doors, generous dimensions, parquet flooring, chocolate brown wood and white walls. Modern? The pastel kitchen, dining kitchen and conservatory.
The hot water was always instant, the showers strong, the central-heating and double-glazing efficient, we were as snug as bugs in rugs. The appliances, hob, fridges, dishwasher, TV, all worked perfectly. There was plenty of room for outdoor gear and boots in a vestibule. On sunny days we could bask like lizards in the conservatory, terrace and garden, all overlooking the sea. Comfy sofas round the fireplace in the large lounge (not fully pictured on the website) made for cosy evenings.
The curtain fabrics, bedlinen, mattresses were good-quality and attractive. The house was very well stocked with crockery, washing-up liquid, tea towels and so on. There were plenty of DVDs and paraphenalia in the games cupboard to play with.
The owners were pleasant and efficient to deal with from start to finish. Jo very kindly posted a drawerful of clothes left behind. Our damage deposit was returned in full within a few days. All in all, we had a great week there and wouldn`t hesitate to book again, we felt we`d found a gem.
We loved staying at Hafn. The house has lots of character and and the location is fantastic. It has everything you need to make your stay as comfortable and carefree as possible. You will not be disappointed if you hire this place.
We had a fantastic stay at Hafn , mother in laws 60th , lovely house that caters for large families , jo was very helpful , and nothing was too much trouble ..... Definitely go again x
Ten of us came here for my birthday bash, when a few of us first walked in, we went wow! The pictures really do not do it justice! It's an old house that has a lovely feel about it, the views are just amazing, really couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate, plenty of room for everyone, easy to get to lots of different beaches on foot. I wouldn't bother eating at the Seacroft, get in your car or walk (takes a good hour to walk it) but the scenery is great to the White Eagle at Rhoscolyn. The only negatives are the hot water seemed to be limited and the Internet is very slow. But the positives far out weigh any of that. Lots of crockery for use, great big kitchen area and utility room, the lounge with his wonderful seated area to look out on that lovely sea view, another room we called the music room where we did our karaoke, then the large and lovely conservatory, the garden and patio area was massive too. Would I stay here again, in a heartbeat, just perfect!

This was the second time we have been to Hafn, having stayed just over a year ago and we were really looking forward to going back there. It was wonderful walking through the front door again and getting, once again, that calm, perfect holiday feeling. Even though it's our second time staying there, we were still completely lost for words at what an incredible, idyllic spot this place is in!...
Every window that looks out the back of the house has a sea view and is like a picture postcard... Honestly!! You could spend your whole holiday just looking out the windows!! It changes all the time and you become mesmerised... Amazing!!
It was made even more uplifting this time around, as there has clearly been some considerable work carried out to the house since our last visit and everywhere felt fresh and more comfortable.
There is everything you could possibly need around the house... The kitchen is very well equipped to cater for larger numbers, loads of games etc to keep the kids entertained after a day out... Very well thought out!
We would definitely recommend this idyllic house and spot to anyone.
