The place description is accurate.
The cottage is placed in a quit place (next to the owner) with full privacy.
The cottage is well kept high standard.
The only minor comment we have was low water pressure.
Highly recommended.

Me and my friend had made the long trip over to Wales from USA to watch the Tour of Britain. As keen cyclists, we had hoped to get some quality cycling in as well. We were worried that we would not be able to find somewhere to stay. What can we say? We were blown away! Oak View Cottage turned out to be the perfect place for us. The owners were brilliant providing somewhere safe for us to lock our cycles away and giving us lots of information about local sites and good cycling routes.
At the end of a long day in the saddle you really need somewhere comfortable to stay and the cottage was great - modern, clean wet room style bathrooms, a washing machine for our gear and lots of room to relax in.
It was a long way for us to travel, but we cannot recommend this accommodation or location highly enough. Thank you so much

The location was perfect for us. We spend most of our lives driving, so it was wonderful to have a place where you could walk into town or straight into the beautiful countryside.
Monmouth is a fantastic place with lots of lovely shops, pubs and an amazing old cinema. The Monnow Valley turned out to be a wonderful place to walk and we enjoyed the activities in the Forest of Dean as well.
The cottage was perfect, brand new and spotless. The only downside was there was no pub nearby but sundowners on the lovely terrace more than made up for it!
We'll be back!
