A very last minute stay and the staff accommodated us from start to finish.
We stayed in one of the luxury lodges with a hot tub and oh wow it was worth every penny. The site was spotless and quiet. The next day we used the spa which was lovely. Only downside was the pool not being open. We will be back!!

We hace been owners for nearly 10 years. The gardens and grounds where potential new buyers are shown are very well maintained but for some of us the gardens in our quiet cul de sac where buyers are not taken have deteriorated badly. Weeds up to waist high in some areas. Some owners have decided to do their own gardening which should not happen in a supposedly 5 star park.
So buyers beware, you are not getting the full picture when you are given the grand tour. Ask to be taken to the cul de sac which contains plots 1 to 9. You might not be so keen to buy.
Things have gone backwards since Park Leisure have taken over the place. Some bad feeling from owners about the place. Local managers come.... and local managers go. Park Leisure are simply incapable of retaining staff. Shame, as it used to be a brilliant place where relationships were built up between owners and staff. Not any more. Would I buy again? Probably not.

We recently rented a large caravan here for a week.
The caravan was clean and well-equipped although it did not have an outside seating area which was a bit of a disappointment compared to other parks we have stayed on.
The site is in a very scenic area and is mostly well-kept although there were drainage works in progress in some parts. The caravans are very close together with limited parking slots.
The park has recently changed hands, and nothing seemed to be open. The boat house bar and restaurant looked lovely, but it was closed - and the other bar was also not in operation when we went. Strangely there appeared to be many employees around - but not doing much apart from tearing around the park in vans and golf buggies.
Although we didn't really need any entertainments, it was a bit odd as I'd have thought that late June was "summer season".
Most caravans and lodges are privately owned and perhaps mostly used at weekends and school holidays. It did seem a bit of a ghost town during the week!
Be aware that there is no shop on site - we drove 20 minutes to Tescos in Caernarfon for our supplies.
The staff in the reception were very polite and helpful, but there is no one there after office hours if you have a problem.
The wifi is very intermittent.
So only stay here if you have a car and want a quiet time!

Excellent park, friendly and helpful staff, great facilities.
Definitely reccommend.

Well maintaned site.
Lots of things to do.
The woodland walk was lovely on the hot day we was there.
The restaurant and pub were lovely. Portion sizes were huge. Prices were reasonable for the size. We paid £43 for a main course each and an alcoholic drink each.

Spa was amazing and the indoor swimming pool.
Lovely changing facilities and showers for guests.

We were really surprised at how quiet the site was for June.

Was a lovely break away.

The site was easy to find.
Reception staff were polite and friendly.

Free WIFI.

The site was close to the main road to llanberis and cearnfon.

We had an issue with our heating and wasn’t getting any hot water. The maintanence man came straight away.

There were a few downsides this were outweighed by the positives.

The cleaner arriving at 8:40 on the day we left when everywhere said be out by 10am she sat outside the static home waiting for us to leave - didn’t like this - felt rushed and left behind my tooth brush and paste.

On our last full day of our holiday the Gas sage man arrived at 9am to check the boiler, h o b and fire. This was a bit annoying as we were stuck at the van till 10:20 when we wanted to go and see as much as we could during our last day.

The boat house wasn’t open only on a Friday. Our holiday was Monday to Friday so left on Friday. Such a shame cause we went over the lake every night such a beautiful view shame we couldn’t have a drink unless we brought our own.

Big thank you to the staff on site and breakfree holidays.

This is a lovely location, beautiful natural landscape and we booked a 6 person luxury lodge with hot tub for a break. The lodge itself, billed as 5 star luxury was pleasant enough. Interestingly although a 6 birth lodge there was only comfortable seating in the ‘lounge’ area for 4 people. This is odd and something if we’d been a larger group could have been an issue.

The main issue we had was the layout of the park and the farcical parking. There are simply way too many lodges and caravans in the space so that they are in places simply right on top of each other.

Our 6 birth lodge had 1 parking space awkwardly placed on an adverse camber on a steep hill. Very awkward to get on. We only had one car, had we had 2 there would have been nowhere to park. The hot tub was also essentially right on the roadway overlooked everywhere by other caravans and lodges. Not relaxing at all.

Some of the other lodges are better situated and won’t have some of these issues but you must be very careful which lodge you get. Don’t get me wrong it’s a beautiful place and area but it feels like they have just ruined an idyll by cramming it too full so it feels cluttered and cramped.
