My husband and I stayed for 2 nights with our 3 year old son using the Hotel as a base to visit Chester and Chester Zoo.
We had called ahead and requested a quiet room and that is exactly what we received with Room 24. The room was at the end of the corridor, large and very quiet. What we also found surprising considering we stayed a Friday and Saturday night was how considerate all guests were as we go to bed early with our son and there was no slamming of doors and late night conversations in the hallways. The sign asking you to be considerate obviously works and should be in every Hotel.
Jacqui the Receptionist was a star employee offering a very friendly welcome and offering a sheet of places to eat as the Hotel doesnt have dining facilities.
The room was very clean and we were very happy, the only reason you didnt get an excellent was as we were checking out we checked under the bed our son hadnt slept in to make sure we hadnt left anything behind and found an empty beer bottle - it was not ours! Shame really as that should easily of been picked up by housekeeping and could of been a different review if my son had found the bottle!!More
