Description: While dining at The Majestic Grille you might expect to see Myrna Loy & William Powell sitting at the bar, zinging witty one-liners at each other over ice-cold martinis. Originally built in 1913 as the Majestic No. 1, a silent picture house that entertained Memphians for three decades, the restaurant gives diners a glimpse of the heady Hollywood days of ol'. From the beautifully restored Beaux Arts décor to expertly prepared classic cocktails to warm, gracious service to Chef/Owner Patrick Reilly's award wining, yet remarkably comfortable food, you find yourself feeling transported to another time. Add to that the largest private movie screen in the city showing silent films & classic movies and you're center stage in an atmosphere that reclaims the cinematic glory of the dawn of the silver screen. Named Best Restaurant, Best Brunch and Best Chef, The Majestic Grille has won accolades in regional and national press. As a community gathering spot for the Arts, The Majestic Grille offers up a dining experience that delights all the senses! Whether sipping a mimosa at our 'Ultimate' Sunday Brunch, hosting a business dinner in a private room, or watching the trolley roll by on our beautiful patio, we invite you to join us for a special dining experience in our historic downtown location. We look forward to seeing you soon, Deni & Patrick Reilly

Excellent Service. Yummy food. Great place to have a meal before attending a play at the Orpheum, which is just a block away.

Thank Chris S

Had great food and some very delicious drinks! We had live music outside because of a street festival and the history of an old movie theater makes it have a great atmosphere!

after our son signed up for the st jude marathon we asked some locals where to eat that was reasonable and good. The majestic grille was the top choice reasonably priced good food great service, So we walked about 3/4 of a mi there enjoying the evening. When we arrived about 745pm they were very busy and were told about a 45 min wait no problem. We asked if we could sit outside as it was very warm and stuffy and no where to sit in their small waiting area. The hostess said sure she had our phone number and would call when a table was open. after about 50 min we went in to discover many open tables and they were seating people as they arrived. We were told sorry and were seated immediatly. The down side was we were taken upstairs which they never asked if that was ok as i have great difficulty walking the stairs and the hostess was half way up before i even realized i had to go up. I struggled and made it but they should have asked if that was ok. The table was small bar table high with uncomfortable chairs . Our waiter came quickly with water and then the wait was on. we ended up waiting over an hour for our food - ( 2 burger plates and 2 sandwich plates). Our waiter was oblivious of us during the enitre time we even had to ask for napkins and silverware. The food was average nothing the spectacular the buns on the burgers were half the size of the burger so picking up and eating in your hand was impossible. The area in the upper balcony where we were seated was so narrow that when servers came buy with trays of food my husband and son had to lean forward or get hit with a tray - we were there for almost 2 hrs and we were seated ate and left - no sitting around chatting - way too much time for the meals we had

Great service! Great food! Great atmosphere! One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The maple glazed pork tenderloin was insanely good with each bite making us smile in delight.
