This is some of the best bbq ever. It may not always be on the menu but if you can get it, do the burnt ends. The building itself is not much to write home about but the food is simply Awesome.

We stopped in on a road trip, just passing through Memphis. We had just gone to a high-end fancy BBQ place in KC, and we were looking for something a bit more casual this time around.

Cozy Corner is about as casual as you can get. The folks there are friendly, though signs warn you that they won't remake your sandwich if you ask for the hot BBQ sauce and it's too hot for you (!). That said, the hot BBQ sauce is great, and isn't too crazy hot, and the rib tips are divine. And the beans and slaw are just right!

It IS in a sketchy part of town, and you should look at the photos -- I grew up in Oakland, so a hole-in-the-wall that serves good food doesn't bother me in the slightest, but if you're not used to things being a bit run down, it might not be a good option for you.

But the food IS great, as are the people. Recommended.

Went for lunch and almost did not go in, not real pretty outside. Got there about 11:30 and glad we got there early as at noon there was a very long line. I got rib tips with beans and my wife got bbq pork sandwich with slaw. Both were very good and the hot sauce was not to hot and was great. We will go back.

In 2005 we came to this place twice and found it closed both times. Today with internet on phones, etc. we knew it would be open. Not the greatest neighborhood, parking lot, building etc. but we braved it anyway. Stood in line to order and found the fairly spacious dining area off to the side. Our ribs and chicken were delicious and the service was great. Don't just drive through the parking lot; Stop and go in and reward yourself.
