This is more or less the only café open at this time of the year and by bothering to do so is reaping the rewards mainly from the guests staying at the various hotels. I found the food to be simple and homely, good soups and coffee and a reasonable price.

The owners couldn't have been more helpful, we were a party of five including a disabled person and a downstairs table was needed and found. The lunch was lovely with a mix of paninis, baked potatoes and a burger in a homemade bap. The quantities were good with crisps, fresh salad and coleslaw. The cakes were to die for! We will definitely be visiting here again!

After a long wait for the evening menu to start again we weren’t disappointed, pigeon starter hubby said was amazing, unfortunately the look
I got after stealing some of the accompanying lentils stopped me from daring to taste the main event, my scallops were delicious, moving on to the mains, sea bass with prawns and lovely stir fried noodles mmm mmm mmm, hubby had a caramel chicken concoction which I would normally shy away from but when tried the sauce was fab, not too sweet as expected, desserts I don’t do but again I stole some of hubby’s banana and sultana pudding, oh my dodging the sultanas this dessert was amazing, forgot to mention the canapés at the start of the meal which were delish, great selection of reasonably priced tasty vino topped off the meal. Highly recommend that you book for a Saturday night in November or the equally fantastic menu in December. They are also doing Sunday roasts, just back from there today, amazing pork with wild boar stuffing.

Called in with extended family, nine of us in total, children and adults. Had a cross section of meals, from bacon and egg rolls, soup, to toasted. All very good and tasty. Served by friendly attentive staff in clean warm surroundings. Moderate prices,
Will go again.

Lovely little place, thank you to the owner for doing some hot food for us even though technically we had just missed the cut off for food...appreciate it. Lovely setting and good food, generous portions too. Very welcoming and would recommend to anybody visiting the area.
