“Beautiful and relaxing”
Reviewed 21 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

The cottage was beautiful, just like in the photos. The location was perfect, very quiet with lots of opportunities for hillwalking nearby, and the coast just a short drive away. We really enjoyed the nights in the hot tub under the stars and the views from the living room in front of the fire during the day. Chris and Chrissie were very accommodating, even when we got a flat tyre on one of the back roads and needed some advice and assistance. This was a great spot for a quiet break, and we certainly hope to return in the future.

Beautiful house with quality furnishing and linens and perfectly equipped. Lovely hospitality on arrival with fresh home made bread scones and jam and wine.
Stunning location in a very beautiful part of Scotland. Lots to see and do in surrounding area both on foot and by car. Local hotels and bar serving fabulous fresh food within walking distance.
Hot tub views definately the icing on the cake - although some privacy from the neighbouring cottage would have been better.

Thank you for taking the time to review Rose Cottage.
We're very pleased that you had a good time.
We do try to describe the property as honestly as possible and that the Cottage shares the hot-tub with the adjoining Honeysuckle House, which has access to the patio by the hot-tub via the sunroom.

“Fabulous Place”
Reviewed 19 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Had a lovely week on the croft with our two children. The owners were very welcoming, introducing us and the boys to all the animals - chickens, ducks and geese. The Home made casserole and bread on arrival was delicious a nice welcome. We quickly reordered more bread along with berries off the croft each day.

We stayed in Rose Cottage which is perfect for 4. The place was spotlessly clean and is a home from home. The wood burning stove is great, with a supply of logs included.

We were lucky as the house nextdoor was empty so we also got the use of the joining sun room that looks over the fab hot tub with amazing views up the valley

Thanks for choosing Bluebell Croft- We are so glad that you and your family had a great holiday.
What luck that our ducks should hatch eggs and our chicken eggs also hatch while you and the boys were here!

“Just fabulous”
Reviewed 10 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Upon arrival at Rose Cottage we were greeted by Chrissy who was wonderful and gave us a quick tour of the cottage explaining how everything worked including the hot tub ... Which we made extensive use of during our stay!
The cottage itself is lovely and more than exceeded our expectations, especially the view which is breathtaking.
Already impressed we were delighted when Chris came down bringing warm, freshly baked scones and bread, tasty jam and marmalade and let us know there was some wine chilling in the fridge.
Location wise it's a short 10 min walk into Strontain village which has a very well stocked local shop, there are a couple of hotels with bars nearby too.

There are numerous forest walks starting a short distance from the cottage which we'd recommend because of the stunning scenery.
The cottage is exceptionally well equipped and comfortable, especially when the log fire is lit - no charge for extra firewood used which is great as we just picked up a little extra for our last night. With underfloor heating too it was super cosy. The linens were lovely and fresh with plenty of towels including extra for using at the hot tub.

A strong emphasis is placed on recycling and caring for the local environment, we've already purchased some of the Eco products provided as we were so impressed with them, especially the Eco cloths.

The only downside was our lovely holiday went too fast but we hope to return soon.

Definitely recommended for a quiet, romantic break in the Highlands.

Thanks for making us so welcome Chris and Chrissy!

Lorna and Barry x
