“Beautiful surroundings, cozy accomodation.”
Reviewed 19 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We had a great staf at Inverfyne cottage. Nice to have so many separate beds, a fireplace ready to go an stunning views all round. Great location for visits to surrounding areas, all of outstanding beauty. The interior of the house is fairly basic, but well equiped. The beds ands sofas are comfortable. Good value for money. Wi-Fi was a nice surprise (not advertised at time of booking)!

“Relaxing stay in a beautiful setting”
Reviewed 29 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Myself and 7 other people (all friends, though no couples) have just got back from a week staying at Inverfyne Cottage. We all had a great week, ticking all the boxes we were after. It was hugely relaxing, sadly good enough weather that we didn't have huge need for the open fire, but the kitchen is well equipped, the brewery round the corner is a great place to have a drink, a tour and a slice of cake, and the scenery is beyond stunning.

The cottage itself is fantastic value - we paid £800 for 8 of us for the week, and whilst it's by no means 'luxury' accommodation, it is very homely, very comfortable, and would definitely go back. If you want to walk, there are not a lot of options going straight from the cottage given the private land ownership, but there are still enough for 3 or 4. Inverarary is a lovely village about 10 minutes drive away with a Co-op and Londis, and the hamlet of Cairndow right on the shores of Loch Fyne is a gem, none more so than the Cairndow Inn which has good value food and great service. Highly recommend a stay here. Only reason I would not give 5 stars was an issue with water - we had no water for the last day, not sure why, so made leaving the place quite difficult. Other than that, certainly comes recommended - would need a car to have access to different areas.

“Perfect week at Inverfyne”

Our 7th stay here in 10 years, once again a wonderful week. The house is very large and can accommodate 8 people easily, the huge lounge/diner with great views over the Loch with the roaring fire is the perfect place to unwind after a busy day. The new shower room is lovely and the boot room is a great size and used daily. Fyne Ales is just a minutes walk away and is well worth a visit for a brewery tour and a drink and something to eat in their fantastic bar/cafe. The location is perfect with so much to do within a short driving distance. The original loch fyne oyster bar is literally a minutes drive away and is a must. Arkinglas gardens and house are in the village of Cairndow along with a great pub, the Stage Coach Inn. About ten minutes drive away is Inveraray which can easily fill a couple of days with the Castle and the Jail alone. A meal at the George is high on our list every visit, dog friendly too which is great, as is the Jail! The Cowal peninsula is right on your doorstep and even after 7 years we are still finding new things to do in this gorgeous part of the world. Tuggy and Elaine are on hand for any queries and make you feel very much at home. Didn't want to leave.

“Fabulous relaxing retreat!”
Reviewed 17 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

We've just had our second stay at Inverfyne Cottage and once again it was wonderful. The house is comfortable and has all you need for your stay. The views are breathtaking especially over the Loch. The Loch Fyne brewery is a short walk from the cottage and is worth a visit. The Loch Fyne Oyster Bar is nearby too. Cottage is ideally placed for peace and relaxation but only 11 miles from Inverary. The owner Mrs Delap is nearby and was very approachable and flexible with our arrangements. We would recommend this cottage to anyone.
