I stayed in the twin room which was excellent. Very clean with great facilities. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was the best I have ever had!! I would definitely recommend booking here. On top of all this, the house boasts fantastic views and is stunning itself. The Egyptian cotton bedding was beautiful to sleep in.

My wife and I spent two nights at Allt-Na-Craig while making a meandering trip from Glasgow to Islay. We stayed in a lovely room with views over the gardens and Loch. The owners made us feel like we were true house guests, offering us advice on things to see in Argyll and Bute. They also served the best breakfast we had in Scotland.

There was nothing wrong with this B&B - communication prior to arrival was good; welcome was cordial; advice on local attractions given; twin room was OK; as you would expect it was clean with a nice lounge overlooking the loch. In particular the breakfast was very nicely cooked.

Having booked for a special birthday - and if you are charging in excess of £100 for a room - we expected aspects from Allt-Na-Craig that were special. It never had that special factor despite the wonderful location. Being more specific the twin room could probably do with some brightening up as could some of the common areas. Yes of course this is a business but there was an absence of real warmth about the place.

Perhaps we were there in a 'down' week for the hard working proprietors. I can see why it has good reviews. Either way this is a nice B&B but don't think it unreasonable to expect more for the price paid.

Room Tip: Would say the double room (looking front) more impressive than twin
