“Delightful cottage for two”
Reviewed 21 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

The cottage is pleasantly furnished and roomy and is an excellent position above the harbour with all restaurants and shops within easy reach (though a steep climb up/down from the harbour).
Attentive and hospitable service from Nikki the owner.
All you need for a self catering holiday.

“A Cosy place to stay”
Reviewed 4 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

A great wee dog friendly place to say. Great views from the living room and a very helpful landlady who helped by giving us a lift to get the bus. Some things a bit basic but overall well placed and cosy. The hills back from the pubs help you sober up and a lovely atmosphere would welcome going again

“Hire a new cleaner”

This is a nice little cottage, which is could be made better with very little effort. On entering the garden there is a patio to the left which has overgrown shrubs taking up a third of the area and leaving it a bit claustrophobic. The slabs and steps are covered in weeds and slime causing a slip hazard.
In side is lovely and warm, decor is fresh and bright with everything one would need for a few day away. However when I went to make a coffee I was horrified to find the machine had not been cleaned, there was old grounds left in it which had gone moldy. There was a cafetiere so I had my fix.
We bought some scallops and intended to pan fry them for tea, the first frying pan I pulled out had not been cleaned and had burnt on food stuck to it. My partner wanted to throw it out. There was another pan so all was not lost.
The plate in the microwave had left over food left on it so we never used it when we were there.
Other points for the cleaner to attend to were the extractor fans needed a good clean as did the window frames, the fire blanket box which is at eye level was coated in grease.
Although this is a nice little house the standard at which it is kept does not justify the £70 per night being asked.

“Fab dog-friendly home from home”

A lovely cosy property which is exactly as described. Nikki is a perfect hostess who seems to have thought of everything you could need and more besides. We were made extremely welcome and the dog loved it!

The only downside is the walk back up the hill after a convivial evening in the MIshnish - where we were also made most welcome.

“Superb dog friendly house”
Reviewed 8 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Stayed here for a week in September with our dog. House is a perfect size for a couple, well equipped and the layout with the lounge upstairs with adjacent kitchen works brilliantly- as a bonus you get views down to the pier in the town. Has a very large and comfortable bed. Short walk into town, and you soon get used to the sharp uphill walk back to the house! We plan to stay here again!
