“Fantastic Holiday!”
Reviewed 5 May 2015 for a stay in August 2014

Stayed at Dalmore Cottage last August for a week with my husband and 2 young children. I don't think we could have picked a better place to stay. We had everything we needed and Neem had thought of literally everything to make our stay - the beach towels came in very handy. There was even a bottle of red to welcome us.

The cottage was perfect for us but would also accommodate 4 adults, especially if the plan was to be out exploring.

Couldn't recommend highly enough and would definitely book the cottage again.

“Lovely cottage, perfect location and warm welcome”
Reviewed 28 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Stayed for a long weekend in March 2015. Lovely warm welcome with peat fire on arrival. Very well equipped with a lovely snug sitting room and large kitchen. Beds were comfortable and the view is lovely. Well located for exploring, close to Arnol blackhouse, Carloway brick and Callanish standing stones. Dalmore beach is stunning and lovely walk down the road to reach it. Would recommend Dalmore cottage to anyone looking to explore thus beautiful island.

“Lovely, comfortable and well-equipped cottage situated well for seeing all the nearby beauty spots.”
Reviewed 18 January 2015 for a stay in July 2013

Dalmore Cottage is a well-equipped and well-maintained holiday home providing comfort for any family on holiday. The kitchen has a washing machine, cooker, hob, crockery, pots and pans, iron etc for ease of stay. The bathroom has no bath but has a shower. The living room is cosy and has an open fire, tv, dvd etc. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable with linen and towels provided. Dalmore Cottage is well-situated near the stunning beach at Dalmore which is about a mile away. This is a beautiful walk or it can be driven. The cottage is also located near The Callanish Standing Stones, The Blackhouse Village at Garenin, Doune Broch and is only a short car journey away. Loved our holiday here and will definitely return soon.

“Very comfortable cottage”

Great base to explore the west side. Comfortable double bedroom with lots of space for travel cot. Twin room is cosy. Small living room and huge kitchen diner which is fully equipped. The only downside was the very small shower room. No bath. Not ideal for families.

You will definately need a car to get around. The cottage is a few miles from the beach on the main road. The village is just a long string of houses from the main road to the shore. No shops for miles. Nearest one we found was in Barvas.

Dalmore is beautiful but very wild, strong tides so not so safe for swimming. Shawbost, a few miles away has a sheltered crescent of a beach, ideal for children.

A beautiful part of the world and a comfortable base.

We will return.
