We arrived to a comfortable, clean room. Food is well priced, comes out of the kitchen hot and freshly cooked and in filling quantities. The owner helped us find out who we could sail to Ailsa Craig with. Unfortunately the weather didn't permit but Culzean Castle has stunning grounds and lovely beaches as well as the castle itself so we had plenty to do. We weould recommend this as a well priced hotel.

Stayed here in May and spent three nights. My room was at the top of the hotel so was warm throughout, had a really comfy bed, and a pleasant view of the gardens over the road. Food was great, having had both an evening meal and breakfast there. The hotel was ideally placed for great walks in the Galloway Forest park and up the coast and the sunsets from the harbour were great. The accommodation was really affordable and Sandra was a lovely host. I'd strongly recommend a stay here.

The hotel is a traditional small independent hotel. I was only there for a short overnight stay, but everything about it was great. Comfortable bed, good shower, clean room, good attention to Covid rules, friendly staff and a lovely breakfast. Great value too.
