“Quality and Luxury at Wemyss House”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 April 2012

Wonderful accommodation, fabulous home cooked food (breakfasts and dinners) and fantastic hosts.
The accommodation is spotlessly clean, the bed linen luxurious and there are even bath robes and slippers for guests to use.
Staying at Wemyss House is a lovely relaxing experience - we will be returning.

Spent 2 nights in febuary 2012, what a fantastic time we had, the bedrooms were lovely. We
were upstairs with great views over Moray Firth.

The porridge in the morning was the best we have ever had and, the dinners were
excellent and very tasty
Christine also played the piano for us whilst we sat in front of a log fire
Thank you very much Stuart & Christine, we will be coming again. definitely

Christine and Stuart came to the rescue! When accommodations at a nearby "manor house" for a birding tour package were not appropriate or even clean, we were guided to Christine... and what a find!

We stayed for almost a week and it was the most serendipitous visit. Each morning Christine would make a list with driving directions for us to visit another part of the Highlands - and we covered quite a bit - one day up to the west coast to Handa Island and then the next up to Castle Mey - the late Queen Mother's home and then another to follow the pictish trail.

The breakfasts are to DIE for - incredibly wholesome gorgeously presented food - immaculate linen and beautifully set tables. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed - with lots of local craftsmen's work in abundance - wool throws, plaid pillows, pottery vases and mugs. The bathrooms are sinful - thoroughly modern and as much hot water as you need!

Christine is a wonderful hostess = a superb cook and housekeeper and Stuart is the perfect host - his woodworking skills are apparent thru out the house.

I can't recommend more highly a stay at Wemyss house - you will be treated like royalty!

We spent two nights at Wemyss House and can honestly say that this is the best B&B we have ever stayed in! Christine and Stuart are charming and welcoming hosts and go to a great deal of trouble to make sure that your stay is perfect. We had a superb dinner on the first night and delicious cooked breakfasts each morning. Our room was very well appointed and there are little touches that add so much all over the house. The location is stunning with views out over the Cromarty Firth. All in all a most enjoyable experience and we will be back!

We spent our holiday touring Scotland and ended up staying at Wemyss house longer than planned but not long enough for my liking! Rather than staying at a bed and breakfast it felt like staying in a superb top notch hotel which your friends run! Stuart and Christine are wonderful hosts. I thoroughly agree with previous posts, dinner is a must, and the bespoke breakfasts set you up for the day beautifully. We had a great time exploring the local area and even managed some shopping to bring home things that would remind of this wonderful place.
I can't recommend it highly enough. Definitely a great place to stay and recharge the batteries if you are a city dwellers like us but will make you totally envious of the local life style! Wifi was included, it was very easy to find, quiet, wonderful scenery on the doorstep (literally) I can't wait to go back! Stuart and Christine, please book us in for April!
