“More home comforts than my actual home!”

After the long winding road into the highland wilds to Achiltibuie, the Port Beag chalet was the perfect place to come to rest and wind down. The facilities are comprehensive enough that you could easily live there full time, never mind just a self-catering stay. The hosts went above and beyond, providing such unexpected extras as a weather report printout on the table when we arrived, and folders compiled by themselves and previous guests of wildlife info and sightings made in the area. The beds were comfortable, the rooms warm, and the large window to watch the dawn and dusk sea, in the quiet of an area with almost no traffic, was utterly magical.

“A lovely place to stay with wonderful views.”
Reviewed 24 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We were delighted with the Spruce Chalet, it was indeed a home from home and very clean and cosy. The views are wonderful and the chalet is very quiet and peaceful. The little finishing touches were very welcome. Linda was helpful and at hand if required but we had no problems. The Prosecco we received for my husband's 60th birthday was so kind and thoughtful. The Achiltibuie area is very quiet and lovely, a car is essential. A nearby restaurant served very good food. I would highly recommend this chalet.

“Stunning location”
Reviewed 19 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We spent 3 nights in Spruce chalet with 3 teenage boys. There was plenty of room and everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The chalets are very cosy, have a fantastic view of the Summer Isles and are ideally located for kayaking, walks and boat trips. Would definitely recommend!
