“Stunning Scenery Surrounds Superb Homely Accommodation”
Reviewed 6 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

A group of 6 of us stayed at Quinag last week . We were basing ourselves in Achiltibuie for a 4 day hill walking break . The location is stunning , on the coast looking out onto the Summer Isles. The accommodation is really comfortable .There is ample room for 8 people .
Bathrooms are particularly good, with fluffy towels, quality toiletries and powerful showers.
Furnishings and Bedding are also of a very good standard .
Heating is very good and is augmented by a wood burning stove in the living room. A boot room ensures that Walking gear can be dried for the next day .
Sitting in the Living Room ,in the evening sipping ( dare I say ) , an Irish Whiskey ,watching the sun set was indeed a true pleasure .
For Hill Walkers there is an ample selection of guide books and maps on display . If the weather deteriorates there is also a great selection of DVDs and Books
There is a shop ,2 minutes walk from the house , which stocks all essentials . You won't need to buy bottled water for the mountains though , as Quinags mains supply is really refreshingly drinkable . I would have no hesitation in recommending this house to holidaymakers , hill walkers etc.

“Excellent”
Reviewed 10 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Stayed here for a week in July. The house is very comfortable and clean with fresh modern decor. The free Wifi proved essential as there is poor mobile phone signal in the area. The local shop is handily nearby and was well stocked with the essentials and local produce too. Although the kitchen area could become crowded at meal times there was plenty of room at the dining table. Overall, even though the house sleeps eight in comfort, it feels like a home and not a hostel. We loved the place and would come back again.

“Comfortable house for a large group, superb rural location”
Reviewed 2 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Good booking service and response to emails. Property is modern, clean and comfortable. Achiltibuie is a perfect base for hiking and mountain climbing, swimming in the sea, visits to the Summer Isles, amazing sunsets. Not for people who like a noisy and bustling nightlife. The drive from Ullapool to Achiltibuie is quite spectacular. I liked the sunsets the best. The least liked item was the log burner fire, which looked nice, but did not create any appreciable heat for the room. This was a minor detail, since the house has oil fired central heating which worked well. I enjoyed visiting the hydroponic garden growing business just down the street from the house.

Thank you for taking the time to review Quinag.
We are pleased to say that over the winter we installed a much larger wood burning stove, more suited to the open-plan livingroom. A really warm welcome awaits your next visit!

“Haven of a holiday home”
Reviewed 23 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We spent a long weekend mid September here. We arrived late and slept well in very comfortable bedrooms. After breakfast we headed out and spent most of the day walking locally in the beatiful hills surrounding the village. After seven hours up and down hills it was wonderful to return to hot showers and a very comfortable and warm lounge. That night the weather turned stormy but in our bedroom at the rear we didn't hear a thing, a haven it truly is.

This light airy holiday house is roomy, comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. Perfect for the six adults who came to walk and enjoy time away from the big smoke.

“Great week in Achiltibuie”
Reviewed 17 August 2013 for a stay in April 2013

We spend a week in Quinag in April with our 3 children and the dog.
House was clean, has ample space inside and is well equipped.
Garden is moderate size and enclosed.
Just a few minutes away from the beach, kids and dog loved it.
Pretty area, plenty of opportunities to explore the North-West Highlands, beautiful part of the world.
