“Fantastic apartment and stunning area.”
Reviewed 21 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Me and my husband stayed at No 3 The old convent from 13th September for 1 week. The apartment is beautifully decorated and kept in keeping with the rest of the house.
You had everything you could possibly want, pots, crockery, pans, utensils, DVD's, books, maps and booklets of the surrounding area. The apartment also has Wifi.
The owners Felicity and Chris were very nice and helped you with anything you might need or want to know.
Felicity sends you an e-mail with instructions on how to find the property and meets you when you arrive to show you round the apartment.
There is a shed which has deck chairs and a BBQ if you want to use the garden to dine in. You can keep bikes, boats, canoes, kayaks in the shed safely.
We are regular visitors to the highlands so we knew the area quite well, but one trip we went on with Rockhopper was sea kayaking from Arisaig. I have never seen anywhere so beautiful in my life, clear blue/green sea, perfectly white beaches all to yourself, saw lots of wildlife including cormorants, sea eagles, guillemots, seals and a massive starfish. There are otters around but we sadly missed them. The guide called it the "Scottish Caribbean" and he was right and to make it perfect the weather was sunny and the temperature was 27oC WOW.
You are a 10 minute walk to the centre of Fort Augustus, where you can find shops, pubs, restaurants and of course the locks which come down to Loch Ness.
There are also many many other things to do in and around that area, so please give it a go, you'll never look back.

“Simply a beautiful place to stay.”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

My husband and I traveled from San Diego to visit our daughter who is completing her grad studies at Uni of Edinburgh, and the three of us drove up to Fort Augustus for a wonderful two-night stay at No. 3 The Old Convent. We loved everything about the apartment. Felicity and Chris have put such love and care into the renovation of this property; we especially appreciate how they have integrated so much from the original Convent and nearby Abbey in the restoration (LOVE the doors!). The apartment was absolutely spotless when we arrived. We particularly loved wandering the fields behind the Convent--discovering a hidden grotto and large (old) cross, and on Felicity's recommendation, made sure to see St. Benedict's Abbey at the foot of Loch Ness--both which are breath-taking. If we're ever back in Scotland, we'll definitely stay at No. 3 Old Convent again!

“A 6 Star Rating! but they only go up to 5!!!”
Reviewed 22 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

The Old Convent apartment is in a perfect location on the edge of Fort Augustus. The owners Chris and Felicity have done a beautiful job (and still doing) in renovating this historic house. the apartment is presented very clean, spacious and welcoming. the grounds are perfect for dog lovers or those who enjoy scenic walks. Chris and Felicity are really friendly and helpful and they were very welcoming to our little cavalier dog, Bailie. We would definitely go back, and hope to!. Very well equipped apartment, yet maintains the lovely character, and very hard to fault . The nicest thing to see is the love and passion that Chris and Felicity have for this historic house and in making it their home and holiday lets. thank you Chris and Felicity we had a great time. Claire and Mark
