I have just read marlowjs review from 31st March. I was in nardinis for lunch IN MY POWER WHEELCHAIR With my daughter yesterday. We had no issue whatsoever about wheelchair access. We approached via the ramp and were met by a waitress who came and opened the door, then guided us to our table where we were met by the maitre’d. After our absolutely delicious and wonderfully presented lunch, we visited the disabled toilet facility ( this could have been slightly more roomy- but was perfectly adequate)So I would just like to say to this reviewer- where exactly were you because it doesn’t seem it was the same place as us - only yesterday- can have changed in 6days!! Can’t wait to go back!!

Nardini's - the waiting staff were friendly enough, however, their Maitre'd / Supervisor, I think, would be more suited working at directing traffic since he uses hand gestures instead of words, to communicate to customers and staff. He directed us to a middle table and when we asked for a window seat all he did was gesture towards the nearest large window, when my wife asked if we could sit at the window, in the large empty section of the restaurant, he spoke, only to say "No" and failed to support this with a reason. Watching him throughout our time in the cafe, we noted he seemed to be perplexed when his "standing about" job kept getting punctuated by customers wanting to be seated. His rudeness was borne on the faces of the other staff, leaving the atmosphere of the cafe, somewhat chilled. Not a relaxed experience. He is lucky to be still working here as his demeanour would make it hard for him to get a job working as a greeter in Asda!!!!

The manager at the front had an extremely negative tone . Due to us being young, we were treated with utter hostility . Won't be back , visually pleasing but the ice-cream was not to my acquired taste . The waitresses were extremely pleasant and nice but they were the only good things here . Sorry Nardini's you need a new manager !

Visited during Easter break with daughter and grandchildren.
Tried to book ahead but was informed that they don’t take bookings.
Shown to a table not very suitable for a 3yo and a 6yo so asked for a move to an available booth. Was told no as they were kept for larger parties. We then moved to 2 tables put together with a bench seat for kids which was a bit better. Annoyingly the booth we had requested was then marked reserved and remained empty during our visit.
For the money I was disappointed in the food. Fish was a small portion, plate was filled up with catering chips and a bit of salad which didn’t gain any points for presentation.
Would also say if a cafe is going to serve wine at city centre prices then they better upgrade the wine and serve it in a decent unclouded glass.
Service wasn’t as expected either. Had to request the bill several times.
For the price charged I would recommend going elsewhere.

Damp and wild bank holiday in Largs. Popped in for ice cream and were tempted into having the huge fruit scones with best butter, strawberry jam and fresh cream.

Fish and chips at the next table looked and smelt sooo good. We will have to go back!
