Can heartily recommend Heathdale for any visitors. A great variety of rooms to suit different family groupings. Plenty of space to spread out and find your own place between the kitchen, dining room/lounge and lounge. We were there over a very stormy weekend and the house felt safe, cosy and comfortable. A perfect base for exploring the island and close to all the local facilities. Would love to get back soon, but it's booked up well in advance.

“Character, comfort and a sun-trap garden”

The main attraction for us was the location and views across the golf greens to the water and nearby Goat Fell. Sometimes you see seals bobbing in the sea and it's just a short walk to Brodick Castle, shops and restaurants and the fantastic Auchrannie spa - open for the public to swim, eat or have a drink.
The house itself is charming and fitted with everything you could need and is clean, spacious and very comfortable. Make sure you have a sundowner on the patio - it's very sheltered and seems to always catch the sun.
Heathdale is ideal for a big familly - or families - or group of friends.

“Great location, loads of space”

We last stayed at Heathdale in February but have been here as part of large groups many times in the last 15 years. It works equally well for groups of friends and for families of all ages. The house is clean and comfortable - the kitchen in particular is lovely and the other rooms have tons of space for adults to sit about and kids to run about. The patio area in the back garden is a real suntrap, and the beach and golf course are just across the road. There are decent amenities within walking distance - the Brodick Bar for pub grub and the Auchrannie up the hill for very child friendly food and entertainment and an indoor swimming pool, which is great if the weather is on the Scottish side! Brodick town with supermarket and ferry terminal is about a mile away - easily walkable, although a car is handy if you want to do a big shop. Looking forward to our next visit already.

“Comfortable, cozy w/ lots of space, a very special home away from home”

We sailed to Arran Island on a chilly, grey day, Heathdale was less than ten minutes by car from the ferry. We knew immediately we had found someplace special: large, comfortable yet cozy environs, a cheerful fire soon to be blazing in the first of two living rooms, a big mahogany table for gathering in the evening over whiskey and dinner. The bright and cheery kitchen, fully equipped with everything a good cook needs, is the kind of place that despite the glorious Scottish hills all around, tempted us to while away the morning with hot tea and conversation. Fantastic to have a second sitting room: comfortable sofas, telly, a bookcase full of books, and another cozy fire--just the place to read, relax, take a nap. The bedrooms, lots of them, and the bathrooms were equally impressive. In short, it was Home. Heathdale is the best of its kind. Already planning our next visit.
