Lochside Bed & Breakfast
Reviewed 28 August 2017

Lochside and Marion and her husband is/are such gems. We stayed two nights whilst walking the coastal way and nothing was too much trouble for this team. The hospitality is simply up there with the best we have had, the breakfast was excellent and so filling - no need for lunch, especially with the beautiful baking waiting for our return, even though we were later on one occasion. We made good use of their drying room and the guest fridge was greatly appreciated

We stayed here for one night as a family and appreciated the helpful and welcoming new owners of this place. Marion is particularly well informed of hill walking on the island and can recommend good trips.

The afternoon tea and cakes were a nice treat - fresh and tasty. The vegetarian options at breakfast were great, too. As well, the fresh fruit, granola, yogurt with healthy cereal options. It is fantastic is eat well when enjoying the outdoors.

The rooms were clean, tidy, and efficiently arranged. Modern bathrooms, and all comforts of home.

We also appreciated the small size of the B & B, it's lovely gardens, environs and very quiet/serene atmosphere. We would return here again if given the opportunity.

A great find in a stunning location. Marion is an excellent host and was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Residents lounge available to those who want to use it, which my husband and I did and had to ourselves, even though Lochside was fully booked for the night. Excellent breakfasts which will keep you going all day. Hope to be back soon.

Just spent an overnight at this lovely B&B when meeting with family for an annual get together. We were met by the owner who was so friendly and cheerful. The house is lovely and set in large grounds with beautiful gardens and a little lake with swans and ducks. Our room was exceptionally clean and spacious with lovely views across the water. A large choice of breakfast food was on offer including fresh fruit, cereals, croissants and a full cooked Scottish breakfast, more than we could eat. A selection of teas, coffee and cakes were also available to all guests all afternoon. I can highly recommend this venue.
