“Excellent find”

5 of us stayed between Christmas & New Years Eve and had a great stay. House was spacious enough for us all and had everything we needed. Really warm and cosy and comfy beds. A great base for exploring Fife but enough restruants and pubs in Anstruther for night time so no one needed to drive. Would happily return and recommend to anyone.

“Very pretty, comfortable accommodation”
Reviewed 9 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

I stayed for 4 nights in the Beach hut with two friends and we were extremely comfortable. Gillian the landlady was very accommodating, allowing us to check in early and we found a lovely surprise of a bottle of wine on our arrival. The location is perfect, just 4 mins from the harbour in a quiet courtyard. The village is extremely pretty and I would 100% recommend the Fish Bar for Fish and Chips, Barnetts for cake and Dreel Travern for a great pint. Loved my time spend here.

“wonderful”
Reviewed 30 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The Beach Hut was a perfect location for a "home base" in the Fife & St. Andrews' region. It is beautifully appointed, very clean and close to the Anstruther harbour, other villages, golf & pubs.

I highly recommend this rental.

“Great accommodation, Poor service- just hope nothing goes wrong!”

Didn't start well when there was no key and they wouldn't pick up the phone for an hour so we didn't get access until 1.5 hours after we were supposed to. The place was freezing when we entered and they didn't appear to know how to work the boiler. We eventually got the boiler to work but it took hours for the underfloor heating to kick in so my elderly parents and young kids went to bed fully clothed that night. Didn't help that when I called and asked for additional heaters I was told they couldn't drop any off as they had 'had a drink' but I could travel to collect them! The place did heat up overnight and all was good afterwards but the initial service left a sour taste. Not great customer service by any stretch of the imagination. It's a lovely house in a nice part of the world but if you book just hope nothing goes wrong!

The first phone call we received was at 5.20pm and we were there within 20 mins and let you in (the cleaners were supposed to put key in safe) we turned the heating on but it didn't kick in for a while which we apologised for you were the first let of the season there was a convection heater in the lounge which you said was warm enough at the time then when you called at 9.30pm we had a glass of wine otherwise we could have brought extra heaters down and you said you had had a drink too but things would be fine till the morning, you then called in the morning and said it had warmed up fine and again we apologised, we also gave you a rebate on what you had paid for the rental, again we do apologise profusely for any inconvenience caused.
